The M12 offers a variety of cleaning options, including mopping and vacuuming. Its clever design lets it map a room in less than six minutes and alter its cleaning path accordingly. Its mopping technology is advanced and includes two spinning pads that are electronically controlled water as well as a "True Edge Adaptive Edge Mopping System" which helps ensure thorough cleaning of all floor edges.

4. Dreametech X40 Ultra
The Dreame X40 Ultra robot vacuum and mop is the company's most recent flagship model. It has a few unique features that its cheaper models don't. It has top-notch suction and can mop hard floors with incredible ease. It also comes with many advanced features, including self-detangling roller brush heads and auto-extending mop heads, that make it an excellent option for cleaning hands-free. The X40 Ultra offers automatic cleaning of its base station as well as a dust collector filter. The mop pads are automatically cleaned in hot water and then drained, and the water tank that is contaminated is automatically emptied after every cleaning session.
It has some advanced options for modifying the cleaning schedule, like choosing a specific time to start and finish every cycle, or choosing whether it should vacuum carpets prior to mopping. It also comes with a sophisticated feature set that allows it to switch between hard and rugs effectively removing pet hair and dirt from carpets and raised room thresholds.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping thanks to the internal dToF system. It can maintain the appearance of a low-profile, while offering top-notch object detection. It drives close to walls without crashing and avoids steps, and also raises its mop automatically when driving over rugs or short-pile carpets. It struggled a bit when it encountered longer-pile carpets and also there were a few large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
Like many robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box and only requires the initial mapping run to figure out how it can navigate your home. After that, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged as needed. You can set virtual boundaries, as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you don't want the robot to get into.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head that puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor.
